VERN MOBLEY

Vern has been working as a drummer for over three decades. His roots are in Gospel; he played Churches with choirs and gospel groups honing his skill with his father (organ) and brother (bass & guitar). Vern brings a unique sense of feeling to every group he's in, especially to Funk Xpress. Vern boasts a sound which "often gives the illusion of multiple drummers/percussionists playing the drum kit simultaneously," while possessing a deep, solid pocket. It is hard to envision another drummer actualizing the rhythm section of Funk Xpress as well as Vern does. Vern keeps the crowd dancing.
