BILL WASHER

Bill Washer grew up in Rochester, N.Y. where he began studying guitar at the age of 13. In 1973 Bill moved to NYC and began a career as a guitarist and performed as a session musician for jingles and albums, as well as concerts in the Jazz scene and the Broadway circuit. He has recorded and/ or performed with: Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Stan Getz, Elvin Jones, Ray Barreto, Barry Miles, Curtis Fuller, Bob Mintzer, Jimmy Cliff and Frank Sinatra to name a few. Bill brings the distinct funk guitar sound to Funk Xpress complete with wah-wah and other effects along with a driving sense of rhythm and a keen ear for improvisation.
